Yard Assistant

Duties:

• Always promote and maintain a safe working environment.
• Store and log yard inventory so as to provide for efficient use of space and vehicle flow.
• Apply measures which always prevent product damage and loss.
• Execute proper loading of outbound trailers.
• Perform basic grounds keeping of the facility,
• Inspect power equipment and report deficiencies to Yard Manager
• Assemble products which require fittings and submit reports on assembled products
• Relocate semi-trailers as needed to allow for efficient loading and movement on the yard.

Occasional Duties:

• Assist with physical inventory
• Participate in meetings/discussion with Management on inventory-related topics
• Grading & grooming of gravel storage yard
• Groundskeeping and lawn care
• Assist with filling and loading customer pick-up orders
• Prepare and package product for UPS shipment
• Assist with unloading product as needed
• Other miscellaneous duties as required

Skills/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Ability to learn basic PC skills
• Forklift certification
• Ability to safely operate farm-type tractor
