Timewell Drainage Products, Sibley Plant manager Chris Leenerts was recently presented with the Patriot Award, given by the Iowa National Committees of the Employers Support of the Guard and Reserve.
The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
Mr Leenerts was nominated by Timewell employee and National Guard member Sgt. Joe Lowman. Sgt Lowman noted in his nomination that “My supervisor goes above and beyond, making sure I have drill days and annual training off. He shows an interest in what we do. When I’m away for extended time, he checks on my family to make sure they’re doing OK.”
